Some of our products are freeware, which simply means that no fee is due. Others are distributed as shareware, which means that, after a trial period, you must either pay the registration fee or discontinue use of the products.

Shareware is a method of distributing software so that users can "try before buying." When you buy software at a store, there's typically no recourse if it doesn't meet your needs. With shareware, you can try the software out for a period, often 30 days, and then decide whether to register and pay for the product, or stop using it. During the trial period, the software may be fully functional, or have some features restricted in a "demonstration mode." This depends on how the author sets it up.

Why Register?

Because you like the software! We love the Mac, and want to develop more software to make Mac use more productive and fun. To do this, though, we need to make money (Sorry, but it's true! Those banks and utility companies are so picky about being paid! <grin>). We try to keep prices very reasonable, and hope you find our products a good value.

If you decide you don't want to register, please let us know why. If there's something you'd like to see, or some feature you need, please let us know.

Whether you decide to register or not, please consider letting a friend know about the software. Word of mouth can be the best advertising. Thanks!

DeskPictRotator Pro US $11 (Kagi), or US $10 (direct)

How to Register

You have two options to register: First, you can send payment to us directly, or alternatively, you may register through Kagi. More details are provided below.

Register Through Kagi

Registering through Kagi nets us a little less money than does direct payment, but may be more convenient for you, especially if you'd like to pay by credit card or pay online.

Kagi serves to process your payments, and does not provide product support; please don't send them product questions. They are independent from Sleeping Cat Software, and you should feel comfortable with their policies before registering. Visit Kagi's site to find their customer FAQ, security and privacy policy, and more information.

If you don't feel comfortable with Kagi, you can still pay Sleeping Cat Software directly (see below for instructions).

Go to Kagi's order page for Sleeping Cat Software.

Paying Directly

Paying directly nets us the most money, as Kagi understandably charges fees for their processing service. To pay directly, send the registration fee (US funds only, checks must be drawn on a US bank) to our postal address, and include your name, address, and email address. We will email you instructions on how to disable the registration reminder.

To register, please fill out the following form, and mail it along with the registration fee in US funds (checks must be drawn on a US bank, and payable to Richard Long) to:

Sleeping Cat Software
PO Box 3511
Nashua, NH 03061

Please make checks payable to Richard Long, and NOT Sleeping Cat Software. Thank you!

Important Notes

You must include your email address. This is how you will receive instructions for turning off the registration reminder. We regret that we cannot reply by postal mail.

If you pay by check, please make it payable to Richard Long. Checks should be US funds, drawn on a US bank.

What happens after I send payment?

I tend to check the PO Box once a week or so, and will send an email acknowledgement as soon as possible after I get your registration form. For faster service, you can drop me an email letting me know that you have sent a registration, and I'll try to check the PO Box as quickly as I can.
